Company has expanded specialty benefits services to include mental health management, lifestyle balance and physical health

SAN DIEGO / August 13, 2008 – Led by its popular AppleCore Wellness solution, ACI Specialty Benefits is celebrating its 25th anniversary as a global provider of employee assistance, wellness and work/life programs.

“This anniversary represents a culmination of 25 years of producing innovative programs and services and providing employees and employers with solutions to their changing work/life challenges,” states Founder and CEO Dr. Ann D. Clark. “I am extremely proud that even with continued growth and success, ACI Specialty Benefits has maintained its high standards of clinical integrity and quality services.”

Founded in 1983 by Dr. Ann Clark, ACI Specialty Benefits started as an employee assistance program under the name Ann Clark Associates. Throughout its 25-year history, the company has evolved, expanded and adapted its services to meet the diverse and changing needs of today’s workforce. With an annual client retention rate of over 90% and record-breaking new sales, ACI has grown to include the full spectrum of specialty benefits services, including mental health management, lifestyle balance and physical health.

“ACI holds a unique market position because all of the growth over its 25-year history has been achieved organically, and every new product and service has been carefully developed and designed in-house,” adds Chief of Corporate Relations Tori Barr.

ACI’s most successful venture to date is the AppleCore Wellness program – an integrated wellness solution for corporations battling skyrocketing healthcare expenditures. “ACI’s AppleCore Wellness program addresses total health and well-being with appropriate intervention, prevention, and attention to personal needs at all stages of healthy lifestyle behavior change,” says Associate Vice President of Wellness Strategies Ike Okenwa.

In addition to AppleCore Wellness, ACI’s list of innovative products includes the popular Get Fit Cell Phone Diet, Pulse Grab ‘N’ Go Survival Kits, and ACTion, a six-step assessment and preplanning tool that help companies avoid the common pitfalls of many wellness programs and achieve long-term success.

“We look forward to a long future of helping corporations build a workforce of healthy bodies and healthy minds one company at a time, by anticipating future trends, making market adjustments accordingly and evolving with technology and ever-changing workforce needs,” states Chief Administrative Officer Gilbert Manzano.
