I would like some feedback on what the vision and mission of the Human Resource Department is focused on?
I work in a Health related field, drug and alcohol treatment program. The HR department consist of 5 employees. My position is the Benefits Administrator.
I would like to know if HR is a advocate for Management only or for Management and employees?
Please help???

Hi,
As the name tells, HRD is all about dealing with organization's workforce. Workforce is made of various individuals. Each individual different from one another. This difference needs to be managed. As per my knowledge and experince i forsee the vision & mission of HRD is to maintain good quality workforce.

Tools of maintaining quality workforce are:
1. Quality and not quantity recruitment
2. Develop sound strategies to retain quality workforce
3. Maintain good work culture
4. Sound evaluation of performance.
Please let e know if my exposure and subject knowldge is on right track.

Shall await your feedback.

Hi,

The success of a company depends on the effort of all individual. The managers give them support but can't do all the work alone.

For create the HR vision and mission, first you have to know the organizational vision and mission, because all the other departments must look for the same gols.

We can't forget that the HRD result is measured by the success of other departments.

The main concern must be "the people" and their development.

Good luck.

Hello,

The HR Dept. should support Supervisors, Managers AND employees. As the Benefits Administrator, you would most likely be geared more toward assisting employees from the benefit side of HR. The Managers and Supervisors are then managed by the Employment Side of the dept.

I view the HR function as a customer service position providing support and leadership to all individuals throughout the organization. In addition, HR should strive to promote an equal balance between the company and the employees through the development and implementation of a fully linked performance management system.
