Description
Maritz Motivation Solutions and WalkingSpree, will share a proactive, integrated approach to encouraging and inspiring people to adopt healthier lifestyles. We will share ideas born through neuroscience principles supported by The Maritz Institute. We will share insights from scientific research that indicates that people are motivated through specific innate motivational drives, and by developing wellness programs that tap into all of these drives, clients can encourage participation, engagement, and advocacy for their wellness programs. We also will explain our Point of View in designing wellness programs. We believe that wellness starts with the individual. People need to own their wellness. However, employers, partners, and healthcare providers can be supporting agents that help motivate, encourage, and inspire their people to adopt healthier lifestyles and live healthier lives. We believe that in order for organizations to encourage healthy behaviors you must inspire, enable, and motivate people. They must offer a fully-integrated wellness solution that promotes choice and social support. This integrated approach is designed with all of these elements in mind, to drive engagement and healthy living through health promotion, well-being, nutrition, and physical activity. We will also provide examples of how organizations can begin to offer the right components that support these foundational aspects of wellness like walking programs, prevention, social components, and more. We will challenge organizations to re-energize and re-establish objectives around wellness that focus exclusively on the individual, encouraging participation, engagement that will ultimately lead to healthier lives, happier lives, and ultimately program advocacy and lower healthcare costs long term.
