Compensation policy is always being attacked by managers because of the problems it creates in specific cases. This leads to changes in policy-and different problems which draw new complaints. This webcast looks at some of the inevitable tradeoffs in compensation design and how to communicate those to managers.

"You can't solve problems in compensation; you can just move them around."  That quote, which I first heard while consulting in Kuala Lumpur, pretty much summarizes the true nature of world of compensation.
