Harnessing the Power of Human Networks®: As the onslaught of attempts to grab our attention inside our workplace and in our communities increases, we turn away from the formal mechanisms of corporate communications, advertising and the media to our personal networks of trusted advisors. In this webinar we will discuss how to identify and map these informal networks of trusted advisors in order to:
- more efficiently shape opinion, speed decision making and influence behavior within our organizations, and
- more efficiently listen to, target, and engage our external community to increasing brand loyalty.
We have built formal organizational structures and channels to accomplish these goals. But in reality knowledge seeking and decision making are human endeavors; we instinctively go to our trusted advisors not our formal structures. If we have to solve a problem at work, we call a former colleague who isn’t even in our department any longer, but someone we worked with before and we know she has a wealth of knowledge. When we are considering the purchase of a new car, we are influenced by the ads on TV, but we walk down the street and ask our neighbor who owns the same model what he thinks. With the tools of social network analysis, we can now precisely map these informal networks. This webinar will explain how social network analysis is conducted and speak to case studies within organizations and within communities.
