Human Resources: Former FEHC Judge and SMEs Give Formula for Legally Defensible Harassment Training

Training is one tool to help prevent sexual harassment. In many cases, training doesn’t work. This presentation will give you the formula for delivering effective and legally defensible harassment training that’s also California AB 1825 compliant. The presenters will discuss: criteria a judge would use to evaluate the quality of harassment training, the legal impact of not providing effective training, how to get employees’ ‘buy in’ and to modify their own behavior to prevent and resolve harassment situations, and new developments and key concepts in regulations governing harassment training (AB 1825) and how they can impact all employers.

Jo Anne Frankfurt, a former FEHC Administrative Law Judge, Carolyn Langenkamp, a noted California Civil Rights Attorney, and Stephen Anderson, assisted the FEHC in drafting AB 1825 regulations, personally delivered harassment training to over 140,000 and who’s sexual harassment training has been featured on 20/20 and Japanese national television, will provide legal and practical information to assist all employers in developing effective harassment training that helps modify workplace behaviors which create or contribute to harassment.
