Learn how a major chemical company used automation to take the work out of training, and significantly improve its ability to meet safety standards and maximize its training investment.   Presented by Keith Bowery, Project Manager and Theresa Renfro, Corporate LMS Administrator at Eastman Chemical Company who wanted to relieve the workload in the training system, while maintaining or improving their safety results and continuing to meet their training requirements.

To help reach these goals, Eastman selected a talent management system that offers robust functionality in course completion and certification management.  This solution gave Eastman the ability to automate and integrate employees’ roles, tasks and competencies with other data in the learning management system.

Across the site, the implementation of automated training management reduced the total number of
annual training hours, ensured the right training was being assigned to the right people, enabled
assignment of roles and training to new hires within two days, and placed all training in employees’
automated To Do lists.

Today, Eastman receives support from various internal levels, and recognizes that its success has high potential for use in other areas within the organization.
