Many organizations invest in one aspect of their selection and deem their efforts to be adequate. They are often not.
This presentation will discuss a number of steps that can be taken to readily improve. These include factors that need to be planned that often aren´t. For example, what types of interviews will be conducted? How will decisions be made? How will multiple interviewers share information?
It will also investigate what interview training must involve to be effective. For example, practicing is necessary in any instruction, but is often omitted in the interest of time. Does that really lead to effective interviewing?
And, the presentation will identify tools that can be used to help interviewers apply the skills they learned in training. This includes job analysis tools, structured interview guides, etc. The focus will be on helping people of varying organizational sizes and capabilities.
