Yoh Announces New Alignment of Workforce Offerings with Day & Zimmermann to Enhance Customer Choice

Revamped structure will provide greater scale and market presence as the modern workforce undergoes unprecedented change
PHILADELPHIA-April 22, 2010-Yoh today announced a new alignment of the workforce offerings to leverage the company's existing management talent, marketing expertise and operational infrastructure in conjunction with parent company Day & Zimmermann's multiple areas of skilled, technical services to better meet customer needs throughout the enterprise and help them adapt to the ever-changing workforce. Yoh will further integrate with Day & Zimmermann, its parent company since 1961,to emphasize their combined scale and market presence, enabling enhanced efficiencies, awareness and collaboration.

"The composition of the workforce has changed rapidly within the past 18 months, and many businesses have quickly discovered that those not able to react cannot effectively compete in today's global economy," says Lori Schultz, President of Yoh. "With unemployment still sitting at 9.7 percent, the workforce today is unlike any other that we've seen, involving a mix of permanent hires, contract employees, temporary talent, and freelance workers. As a result, the role of the human resource executive has become more important and strategic in leadership, as it is their responsibility to evaluate business objectives in the context of workforce composition. It will be necessary to develop and execute a plan to maximize talent coverage, enable flexible staff levels, anticipate growth needs, and control associated costs."

As part of this alignment, Yoh will move toward a consolidation of the company's services and enhance the interoperability with Day & Zimmermann's other business lines. Doing so will allow Yoh to provide customers across both organizations better access to professional temporary technical talent, the ability to manage a more flexible workforce, and the opportunity to decrease the risks associated with independent contractor usage.

In addition, Day & Zimmermann's validation services offering, including systems validation, regulatory compliance and quality assurance services to pharmaceutical, biotechnology and medical device companies, will now be delivered as part of Yoh's life sciences offerings. In response to signs that the federal government will require increased analytical expertise among its personnel, Yoh is extending its offerings into the federal services market. With needs for sophisticated data analysis on the rise and challenges such as cyber security, federal customers will require the kind of specialized workforce expertise in which Yoh has built a record of success for other industries.

Yoh will also emphasize its affiliation with Day & Zimmermann as part of its corporate identity in its re-branding efforts.
