Yahoo! Appoints Jeff Kinder as Senior Vice President and General Manager for HotJobs. Former Cendant Corp. Executive Brings Rich Expertise in Strategic and Global Operations
Yahoo! today announced the appointment of Jeff Kinder as senior vice president and general manager for Yahoo! HotJobs, a leader in the online recruiting industry. Kinder will be based at Yahoo!’s Sunnyvale headquarters and will begin directing the business unit on June 18. In this role, Kinder will report directly to Hilary Schneider, executive vice president for Yahoo!’s Local Markets and Commerce and Publisher Network divisions.
Kinder will lead all aspects of the Yahoo! HotJobs business, including sales, product, marketing and engineering and will interact with executive level management to drive long-term growth plans and strategies. Yahoo! HotJobs is the fastest growing Web site among its top competitors -- its unique user audience grew +36% in Q1 2007 (comScore Media Metrix). In addition, Yahoo! has more than doubled the number of newspaper partners that have joined the HotJobs network since the consortium’s formation in November 2006.
Kinder joins Yahoo! HotJobs from Cendant Corporation, a global provider of online and offline travel, real estate and transportation services including such brands as Orbitz, CheapTickets, Avis, Wyndham Hotels, Coldwell Banker, and Century 21. Kinder served as senior vice president for Cendant’s Travelport business unit as well as corporate headquarters, where he led growth at scale with a track record of integrating marketing, product, sales and operations in the context of customer requirements. Kinder also improved profitability and drove significant growth for Lodging.com and Neat Group.
Prior to his position at Cendant, Jeff co-founded Adventureseek, Inc. and negotiated its acquisition by Unexplored, Inc.
Kinder holds a B.S. in operations research from Cornell University and an M.B.A. from Harvard University.
