resources, payroll, and talent management solutions, announced today

payment processing and information management services to the U.S.

WESTON, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 26, 2007--Ultimate Software
(Nasdaq:ULTI), a leading provider of end-to-end strategic human
resources, payroll, and talent management solutions, announced today
that Wright Express Corporation (NYSE:WXS), a leading provider of
payment processing and information management services to the U.S.
commercial and government vehicle fleet industry, has enhanced its
talent acquisition process with UltiPro Recruitment.
Prior to its relationship with Ultimate Software, Wright Express
was using an enterprise resource planning (ERP) solution with several
process-specific modules. Wright Express selected UltiPro to better
unify its six HR- and payroll-related processes. Wright Express rolled
out UltiPro Recruitment for staffing and talent management in 2005
and, in January 2006, went "live" on core UltiPro for human resources
management, benefits administration, and payroll processing. With the
integration of recruitment into its UltiPro system, Wright Express
has:
-- Reduced its "time to hire" metrics
-- Improved its ability to ensure the confidentiality of
sensitive information
-- Enhanced communication between the human resources team and
hiring managers
-- Alleviated the need for redundant data entry
"With our previous recruiting solution, I managed approvals for
job requisitions and offers manually. This meant that I used
interdepartmental mail or I walked to someone's office with the hiring
documents in hand for the needed signatures. If that executive or
manager was not available, I sometimes had to leave the paperwork with
an assistant or put the sealed documents in an in-box. Once the offer
was accepted, the paperwork had to get to payroll, and we faced the
same quandary about getting the documents where they needed to be
while ensuring privacy," said Diane Rogers, HR divisional manager, for
Wright Express. "With UltiPro, everything is handled electronically
and is routed through password protected email, so there are no pieces
of paper lying around to be seen by the wrong set of eyes. I feel much
better about ensuring confidentiality with UltiPro."
Using UltiPro Recruitment, a requisition is routed through the
approval process automatically over the Internet with unique approval
paths for different job groups that ensure recruiters and hiring
managers can access only the approval tasks appropriate to their role.
When reviewing, approvers can see the current status of each
requisition, read comments from other approvers, make changes, and
approve or deny it. By giving hiring managers and HR the ability to
get complete hiring details on line and communicate with one another
through the system, UltiPro Recruitment has facilitated communication
between managers and human resources at Wright Express and helps them
move the process along as quickly as possible.
"With UltiPro, everyone who needs to be involved can check on the
status of an open position, and if there is a delay or other change,
the interested parties can see that," said Rogers. "Communication is
very important. Before UltiPro, I often did not know if managers were
ready to make an offer until I called them. Now, we are all on the
same page."
UltiPro Recruitment helps the Wright Express team create the
offer, get internal approval, communicate the offer, and send regret
letters. The solution also allows recruiters, hiring managers, and
executives to collaborate on open positions, creating and approving
offers, and automatically converting applicant data into core UltiPro
when a candidate becomes a new hire.
With its former recruitment provider, the Wright Express staff had
to manually re-enter candidates' demographic, employment history, and
skills detail into the HR managements system when they become new
hires.
"Before UltiPro, the manual aspects of recruitment were
nightmarish," said Rogers. "Our hiring efforts are now much more
efficient and effective with UltiPro."
"We're happy that Wright Express is experiencing the business
benefits of integrated recruitment with core human resources
processes," said Greg Swick, senior vice president of sales for
Ultimate Software. "We are seeing greater market demand for our
integrated end-to-end strategic HR and talent management as companies
like Wright Express recognize the value of simplifying their diverse
and complex people management processes into one central
Internet-centric solution."
