Scottsdale, Ariz. (PRWEB) May 1, 2007 -- WorldatWork, the total rewards association, has announced it will fund grants for applied research in the following areas:
The concept of “total rewards,” which includes all of the tangible and intangible rewards that employers use to attract, motivate and retain employees;
Compensation;
Employee benefits;
Work-life;
Performance & recognition; and,
Development & career opportunities.
WorldatWork has committed a total of $100,000 in 2007 to fund research.
Academics, non-profit and for-profit consultants, researchers, and other qualified individuals are invited to submit a three-page Letter of Intent (LOI) outlining the research idea no later than Friday, June 1, 2007.
LOIs will be reviewed by an internal committee and select applicants will be encouraged to submit a full proposal that includes a literature review and budget requirements. Proposals will be judged based on the research experience of the applicant, relevance to advancing total rewards, and applied nature of the research. Detailed instructions—including a full RFP document, an FAQ document, and a timeline—are available at www.worldatwork.org/researchgrants.
“Nothing like this has ever been done before for the specific purpose of total rewards,” said WorldatWork President Anne C. Ruddy, CCP, CPCU. “We expect this new endeavor to result in valuable, practical information for our profession, our organizations and our workforce.”
