WASHINGTON, January 4, 2006 - Watson Wyatt Worldwide, a leading human
capital consulting firm, today announced the appointment of Ted Nussbaum as
director of group and health care consulting services in North America. In
this role, he will have responsibility for managing and driving growth
within the firm´s group and health care consulting business.
"Ted has developed and implemented practical, evidence-based strategies
that have helped our clients manage the cost of their health care benefit
programs," said Syl Schieber, director of U.S. benefits consulting at
Watson Wyatt. "His leadership abilities and extensive experience working
with clients make Ted the ideal candidate to manage and develop our group
and health care practice."
Nussbaum has more than 30 years of health care and benefits consulting
experience. He joined Watson Wyatt in 1993 and has held many leadership
roles within the firm. Most recently, he served as U.S. east division
practice director for the group and health care consulting practice. He
will continue to be located in the firm´s Stamford, Conn., office.
Nussbaum has been the lead consultant to more than 100 large employers on
health care strategy and plan design. He holds a B.S. in economics from
Queens College, an M.P.A. in health policy, planning and administration
from New York University, and an M.S. degree from the Pace University
Graduate School of Business.
