Truro and Penwith College has signed a seven-year deal with NorthgateArinso to implement ResourceLink Aurora, its web-enabled HR and payroll solution.
Prompted by changes with its current bureau service and the desire to achieve an integrated HR and payroll solution, the College has chosen the ResourceLink Aurora solution to provide a more efficient and flexible back office service for HR and payroll. The overall strategy is to deliver a more joined up service for employees, supporting their day-to-day activities, with an emphasis on empowering Team Leaders and staff across the college to concentrate on the key issue of supporting students.
As ResourceLink Aurora is delivered via the web as a zero footprint solution, the system will deliver significant savings by reducing paper flow and duplication of data. From an IT perspective, the College is able to deploy the solution through a web browser, utilising web technologies. This will not only reduce the day-to-day management that can hamper more traditional client server applications, but also open up the opportunity for greater accessibility from home.
The solution is highly configurable, meaning processes can be streamlined and personalised to an employee’s role or task. It puts vital information at the fingertips of each person in the HR and finance team, giving them the tools and data needed to do their jobs in an integrated view. Managers and staff members will be able to interact with HR and have their own self-service view of the information they need, wherever they go.
Andy Goodman, project manager for Truro and Penwith College, said: “We have ambitious plans and we're keen to make use of the web-enabled technologies in ResourceLink Aurora to drive forward our HR and payroll strategy. We will be able to streamline our working practices, bringing payroll and HR information together so that it can be used efficiently and intelligently on one platform. It was important to select a tried and tested supplier that was keen to work in partnership with us. NorthgateArinso invested time in us during the evaluation process and the company has proven it has a strong relationship with other colleges”.
Dave Proctor, business development director for NorthgateArinso, said: “We’ve worked closely with the College to bring the HR team a more efficient way of working with all the benefits of an e-HR solution, based on a proven and reliable platform. Additionally, we have created a Further Education User Group to work with us on ongoing developments in our ResourceLink Aurora Solution. We look forward to embracing Truro and Penwith College into this community and seeing them deliver the best HR in line with the College’s strategic objectives”.
