Towers Perrin, a global professional services firm, announced today the acquisition of ISR, a leading global employee research and consulting firm.
STAMFORD, CT, March 15, 2007 ¾  Towers Perrin, a global professional services firm, announced today the acquisition of ISR, a leading global employee research and consulting firm.  The transaction combines ISR's employee research capabilities with Towers Perrin's existing consulting and research capabilities to provide clients with market-leading services in optimizing the value of their workforce and workforce investments.

As leaders search for competitive business advantage and improved return on their investments in people, the ability to find, deploy and engage the right people with the right skills across the organization is at the top of the agenda for chief executives and CFOs, as well as business unit leaders and HR, said Mark V. Mactas, Towers Perrin chairman and CEO.

Insights into the employee mindset are a critical component in building the programs and work environment required to consistently deliver high performance, Mactas continued.  With the addition of ISR's capabilities, we can enhance the integrated solutions and metrics we provide to clients across all of our services.  Ultimately, clients want to measure and improve their return on their people investments.  Towers Perrin believes we can now do this better than anyone, Mactas added.

This move is a further demonstration of our commitment to grow our offerings around the globe in response to client needs for a more holistic view of their issues, Mactas concluded.

ISR, headquartered in Chicago, has over 200 employees working in 10 offices on five continents.  Its services include full-scale employee opinion surveys, as well as surveys on senior leadership, expatriates and M&A.  In addition, ISR currently has one of the world's largest repositories of normative employee opinion data.

ISR's capabilities will further enhance Towers Perrin's global businesses.  In particular, these capabilities align closely with Towers Perrin's Workforce Effectiveness practice.  This practice helps organizations around the world define the workforce they will need in the future, engage people to deliver better financial performance and ensure the optimal supply, deployment and capability of leaders, managers and employees.  Accurate employee data and market intelligence are the foundation of this work.

We are excited to become a part of Towers Perrin, a firm whose values, global reputation for excellence and strong track record of customer service are a perfect fit with our culture, said ISR chairman and CEO Jack Stanek.

The union of Towers Perrin and ISR will greatly energize our research and product development activities, allowing us to accelerate the development and deployment of our intellectual capital, Stanek added.
