The event will take place on the West Los Angeles Graduate Campus, 6100 Center Drive, room 203, on Thursday, May 25, from 7:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. PT.
Dr. Worley will present "Built to Change," a discussion illustrating how organizations that foster continuous change stay closely connected to their environments, reward experimentation, learn about new practices and technologies, and commit to continuously improving performance.
With Edward E. Lawler III, Christopher Worley is author of "Built to Change: How to Achieve Sustained Organizational Effectiveness," a book recently published by Jossey-Bass that identifies practices and designs organizations can adopt so they are able to change.
Christopher Worley is also co-author, with Walter L. Ross and fellow Pepperdine faculty member Dr. David Hitchin, of "Integrated Strategic Change," as well as co-author, with Thomas G. Cummings, of "Organization Development and Change," the largest selling textbook in the field of organization development.
Dr. Worley consults with organizations in the health care, high technology, and natural resource industries on strategy and organization design. His presentations to the Academy of Management, the OD Network, and The Conference Board have focused on both scholarly topics and practical applications.
