Chief executives and top management of corporate India will meet in Mumbai next month to discuss the leadership challenges of keeping global businesses steadily growing amid security, human capital, and financial market risks.
The Conference Board 2007 Global Leadership Conference: Eye of the Storm—Growing Globally in an Age of Disruptions will take place April 19-20 at the Taj Mahal Palace & Tower, Mumbai. This will be the 3rd annual Global Leadership meeting of The Conference Board in the India region.
According to Poonam Barua, Regional Director—India, The Conference Board, this year’s Global Leadership Conference will aim to bring together chief executive officers and top management from corporate India to understand the aspirations of truly emerging global Indian companies and the multiple risks that companies worldwide need to address as they compete in the global business marketplace.
The conference will feature a CEO Panel Session, “Growing Globally in an Age of Disruptions,” with Nandan Nilekani, Chief Executive Officer, Infosys Technologies; B. Muthuraman, CEO, Tata Steel; Lim Chee Onn, Chairman, Keppel Corporation; and Samuel C. Scott, Chairman, Corn Products. Barbara Reno, Vice President and Managing Director of The Conference Board Europe, will also present the results of The Conference Board 2006 CEO Challenges Survey, highlighting the key topics on the minds of leading companies worldwide.
Additional sessions will focus on the critical areas of: “Business Continuity and Succession
Planning,” “Leveraging Corporate Governance for Success,” “Quality Management vs. Quality
Leadership,” “Information and Supply Chain Security,” “Cross-Cultural Workforce
Engagement: Deploying Human Capital,” and “Financing Growth: Leveraging the Capital
Markets. “
