The Cleveland Clinic Health System Selects Kronos for Healthcare

34,000-employee health system enhances workforce management with Kronos solutions

SAN DIEGO, Feb. 13, 2006 - The Cleveland Clinic is centralizing workforce management functions for 34,000 employees across nine community hospitals, two affiliated hospitals, and 13 family health centers by implementing Kronos for Healthcare, a suite of workforce management solutions developed by Kronos ® Incorporated (Nasdaq: KRON).

Kronos for Healthcare is the only integrated suite of workforce management solutions that reduces labor costs while increasing productivity, improves employee satisfaction, and delivers quality patient care with a skilled workforce.

"Our managers requested a solution that could accurately track labor costs and provide real-time reports that would enhance the decisions they made with respect to staffing," said Tim Longville, director of financial reporting for The Cleveland Clinic Health System.

The Clinic's health system is also using Kronos' absence management solution. This enables them to enforce attendance and leave policies consistently throughout their organization. It also allows the Clinic to reduce labor costs by ensuring that they are only paying employees for the allotted leave time that they have available.

"With a roster that includes more than 4,000 healthcare customers, Kronos clearly knows healthcare," stated Charlie DeWitt, vice president of enterprise solutions at Kronos. "We have the resources, solutions, and healthcare know-how to help large healthcare organization like the Cleveland Clinic Health System balance management of its workforce with the delivery of high-quality care."
