Telus Communications Realizes ROI of $12.5 Million with Callidus Software's EIM Solution in Under Six Months

Callidus Software's Best-in-Class EIM Solution Improves Sales Performance, Aligns Sales with Corporate Objectives and Drives Revenue for Leading Canadian Telecommunications Company

SAN JOSE, Calif., September 5, 2006 - Callidus Software Inc. (NASDAQ: CALD), the leader in Enterprise Incentive Management (EIM), today announced that TELUS Communications Company (TSX: T, T.A; NYSE: TU), the largest telecommunications company in Western Canada, realized a 103% and 3,316% ROI by the end of the first and second year after deployment, respectively through TrueComp ® software. This ROI was achieved through increased revenues and reduced incentive management administration costs. TELUS Communications recouped its investment in TrueComp software in under six months.

In 2003, TELUS Communications realized that its existing sales incentive management environment was inadequate. The company used multiple incentive management systems that did not offer the automation, real-time reporting and modeling that TELUS Communications required. The marketing and sales organizations were markedly inhibited by the lack of a state-of-the-art enterprise incentive management system. After a rigorous review of EIM vendors, including Synygy, TELUS Communications selected and deployed Callidus TrueComp software in 2003.

"Three years ago, we established a critical corporate objective that our premier sales organization needed to have reliable, real-time information to drive performance and high productivity aligned to corporate targets," said Tanya Dorbyk, VP of Sales Performance at TELUS Communications. "Callidus TrueComp Enterprise helped us meet our requirements. With TrueComp, our sales force is able to work more efficiently, we reduced time to market for our products, and increased our financial predictability. Even more importantly, it enables us to offer more strategic solutions to our customers."

"More and more companies understand the critical strategic importance and significant business value that our industry-leading EIM solutions provide," said Shanker Trivedi, senior vice president and CMO of Callidus Software. "The TELUS Communications implementation and subsequent results provide impressive validation for how Callidus best-in-class software can swiftly and efficiently improve sales performance and productivity, align sales strategy with corporate objectives and ultimately drive revenue."

TELUS Communications reduced incentive overpayments by 60%, saving the company $2.4 and $2.7 million in year 1 and year 2 after TrueComp Enterprise deployment. Specifically, using Callidus TrueComp enterprise software, TELUS Communications was able to:
