Together, the two companies offer a comprehensive range of software and services for the development, evaluation and enrichment of human capital within organizations.
MONTREAL, CANADA, November 14, 2007 – Technomedia, the Canadian industry leader in talent management and human capital development solutions, today announced its partnership with the SBT (Scientific Brain Training) group, Europe’s leader in the field of training and evaluation of cognitive functions. SBT is strengthening its Human Resources portfolio and international presence through the signature of a letter of intent to acquire Technomedia, that will enter into effect in mid-December 2007. For its part, Technomedia will round out its TM SIGAL® technology and e-learning services by offering support for the behavioural and cognitive assessment of employees.
Based in France and with a subsidiary in the United States, SBT is the first global company to combine the latest scientific advances with leading-edge technologies to develop innovative product lines capable of assessing and training the cognitive abilities of employees, whether in the context of recruitment or evaluation. “The strong synergy in our product offerings and the closeness of the projects we are currently implementing for shared clients prompted the decision to bring the two companies closer together. This step will make us even more responsive to client and market expectations as we set out to accelerate our development,” explains Alain Latry, President and Founder of Technomedia. “In terms of development, this operation is strategic for us. Through our subsidiary Amava—the French leader in skills assessment—and our software solution PEPCo, our Human Resources offer has so far focused on supporting the behavioural and cognitive assessment of individual potential and talent. The acquisition of Technomedia will allow us to offer a complete range of software and services for the development, evaluation and enrichment of human capital within companies,” adds Michel Noir, Chairman of the Executive Board of SBT.
Under the joint agreement of the two companies, the current President and CEO, Alain Latry, will hold minority shares and continue to manage Technomedia, which will pursue its current mission.
