In January of this year, I shared with many of you a favorite quote by JFK on education: "A child mis-educated is a child lost."
Last week while remembering the life of President Kennedy on the unfortunate anniversary of his death, I was once again reminded of the impact he had on the education community. Later that night, while watching a documentary on the Space Race, life came at me full circle as I fully realized JFK's impact on technology.
The Space Race created hundreds of discoveries that contribute everyday to the advancements we see in technology. From advanced materials allowing for the development of micro devices to complex computing power to simple discoveries like velcro -- the Space Race gave us the tools necessary to build the world of tomorrow.
But sometimes having the tools is not enough. Sometimes you need vision and inspiration.
