Spring Team Wins Big in Risk & Insurance’s Benefits Power Brokers Issue

Karen English, Karin Landry and Teri Weber have been named in Risk and Insurance magazine’s 2010 Benefits Power Broker issue. Every June, Risk and Insurance magazine profiles the top Power Brokers in specific benefits product groups – disability, healthcare, retirement and voluntary - choosing 4 to 6 winners in each category. A research team at Risk & Insurance spent 8 months reviewing candidates based on creativity in solving risk-related problems, benefits knowledge, and client service. Based on their assessments, Karen Trumbull English was chosen as one of four winners in the disability category. Two other members of the Spring team were recognized as finalists by Risk & Insurance. Teri Weber is a finalist in the disability category, and Karin Landry is a finalist in the healthcare category. 

Karen’s profile is listed under the heading “Every Day She Writes the Book,” citing her efforts on the DMEC “Tools of the Trade” book last year. In the profile, clients describe Karen as indispensible and instrumental in their strategic planning efforts. Karen routinely helps her clients design and implement disability, absence management and health management programs that reduce costs, improve productivity and increase employee satisfaction.  She also authors industry leading surveys and research efforts of not only how employers are integrating their benefits programs, but how vendors and service providers are able to respond to their needs.
