Ljubljana, 5.5.2008: Spica (www.spica.com), the leading SE European provider of automatic identification solutions, has acquired Slovenian software technology firm Nimus (www.nimus.si). Nimus is specialised in automatic workforce scheduling for healthcare; with a number of successful references, mostly in the daycare sector.
Spica plans to expand the Nimus customer base further into healthcare and beyond; into hospitality, retail and other labour-intensive sectors where there is growing demand for advanced workforce planning and scheduling solutions.
"With Nimus on board, we now have a powerful and innovative solution capable of coping with the complexity of real-life workforce management. But perhaps the best part is that this technology is already tried and tested by real users, with excellent results!" - says Andrija Pusic, head of Time&Space Division at Spica.
Spica will continue to sell the existing Nimus solution in the daycare market segment, where it already has an excellent track record. Other segments will join later this year with the release of an automatic scheduling module for the Time&Space software suite.
