SITE Foundation to Re-launch as a New Incentive Research Foundation

New status will allow foundation to grow, evolve with incentive industry; continue objective, academic-based research

NEW YORK (May 26, 2006) - The SITE Foundation, a non-profit organization that funds and conducts research for the incentive industry, announced today that it will re-launch as a new research foundation, serving the entire incentive industry.

"Our new, independent status will allow the foundation to expand its research projects, seek new funding sources, and continue to provide objective, academic-based research," said Ira Almeas, President. "As the incentive industry has grown and changed over our more than 20 years as a foundation, we too need to change with the times. Our independent foundation will better serve all members of the incentive industry in the years ahead."

"Our mission remains the same: to advance the science of incentive research, enhance our research in incentive travel, and increase the awareness and appropriate application of motivation, performance improvement strategies and incentives in business and industry across the globe," continued Almeas. "In addition, the foundation will continue to host its signature incentive travel industry event- the annual golf invitational- in support of its research efforts."

The move to create a new status for the foundation was approved by the SITE Foundation´s Board of Trustees Tuesday. The new foundation will retain the current Foundation´s staff and Board of Trustees, and will continue to pursue all of its current research projects.

"This next chapter in our history will allow the new foundation to move forward with a vigorous research agenda and pursue partnerships with related industry groups, the academic community, and corporations to achieve its research goals," said Frank Katusak, Executive Director. "This transition has the added benefit of assuring the businesses and organizations that rely on our research that our findings will continue to be objective."

The SITE Foundation was incorporated in 1986 and has developed a reputation as a leading resource for comprehensive and analytical findings about incentives, motivation, and performance in the workplace.
