SHL partners with SuccessFactors

SHL, the global leader in talent assessment solutions in the workplace, and SuccessFactors, the global leader in on-demand performance and talent management solutions, have partnered to better serve and extend the value of human capital management to the global market.
Princeton, June 23, 2009:  SHL, the global leader in talent assessment solutions in the workplace, and SuccessFactors, the global leader in on-demand performance and talent management solutions, have partnered to better serve and extend the value of human capital management to the global market.

Through this partnership, SHL is providing its internationally validated Universal Competency Framework to underpin SuccessFactors’ talent management solutions.  This means that SuccessFactors and SHL clients will have the tools and resources to manage their workforces towards reaching their potential faster and more efficiently.  SHL’s online content will be in 11 languages by the end of 2009 and clients will be able to objectively assess the past, present and significantly future performance potential of an individual.

SHL’s content will enable SuccessFactors to offer advanced multi-cultural performance and talent management tools to its global clients, such as tracking individual employee potential and performance for superior HR competency evaluations and competency-based development and talent management.

Elevations Credit Union, a Colorado-based credit union that serves 76,000 consumers and has grown to more than $ 900 million in assets, was already working with SuccessFactors to provide its performance management and development systems to help link corporate strategy to business execution.  “When we learned about SHL’s Universal Competency Framework and its integration with SuccessFactors, we quickly realized the Framework provides a strong foundation on which we could build our performance management, development and recruitment processes,” said Laura Pratt, People Manager at Elevations Credit Union.

“The use of the SHL Universal Competency Framework within SuccessFactors is a significant HR best practice. It will save us time, money and improve the quality of our HR processes by making it simpler, clearer, and easier to link measurable competencies to people and jobs throughout the HR lifecycle.” Pratt also notes that combining the UCF with SuccessFactors will enable them to link individual and team goals to the strategic company goals and mission. “Without a measurable competency framework tied directly into recruiting, performance and development systems, it is much harder to measure the impacts of people management to company results.”

“SuccessFactors’ clients will benefit from a truly global talent management offering as a result of this partnership.  We produce our content globally in a way that ensures consistency, while maintaining a tailored and flexible approach for local markets. This will enable SuccessFactors to deliver exactly what its clients want,” said David Leigh, Chief Commercial Officer, SHL.

“Partnering with SHL is a logical step in SuccessFactors’ commitment to offering global organisations the best solutions through the Enterprise Cloud,” said Paul Albright, general manager for SMB and chief marketing officer for SuccessFactors. “We’re committed to offering a fully integrated, talent management platform linking a company’s corporate strategy to business execution, and now we have a best-in-class, multi-cultural content partner with strong expertise in measuring employee and leadership potential.  This partnership significantly extends the value of our solutions at a global level.”
