When selecting a performance management system, there are a number of factors to consider.   These factors include: identifying your key business drivers behind making the decision to automate your employee performance management process, understanding the key components commonly available in performance management systems, and determining the criteria to guide your selection process. 

The composition of your selection team will vary, but is a significant contributor to the decision making process.  Decisions around the functionality required and the preferred type of delivery will have to be made.  Is it best that you choose a system available in an ASP model or installed in-house?  What are your particular integration needs?   

All organizations today are feeling the squeeze between competitive pressures and shrinking resources along with increasing pressure to do more with less.   To remain competitive, organizations must achieve sustained growth, deal with an ever-increasing accelerated rate of change, remain innovative and find and keep key talent.
