Sales Professionals Consortium to Put Finishing Touches on New Assessment
Pittsburgh, August 21, 2007 – Pittsburgh-based Select International, a global provider of human resource assessment solutions, is assembling a new Sales Professionals Consortium, a crucial component of a new product development strategy that will generate real-time industry insight. Select International will officially launch the Sales Professionals Consortium in September 2007, with the work continuing into early 2008. Participation is open to companies that are committed to sales force hiring efficiencies and sales performance predictions.
At the conclusion of the consortium, Select International will assess the resulting data and utilize it to finalize its new sales assessment tool. The new assessment is designed to empower organizations that seek to hire the right candidates for their sales positions.
“Organizations of all kinds rely on sales revenue to drive the company’s engine, which makes it imperative to have a sales force that can deliver results,” noted Kevin Klinvex, co-founder and executive vice president of Select International. “Our product development strategy will enable us put the finishing touches on our new assessment product, incorporate specific industry needs, and help companies hire a sales force capable of meeting and exceeding sales goals.”
Select International’s new sales assessment differs from others in the industry in a host of ways. It clearly identifies the type of sales environment in which a candidate would be most successful. The assessment also creates a comprehensive, descriptive profile of individual candidates. The profile focuses on three major areas that tend to influence a salesperson’s success:
Sales Competencies – A candidate’s abilities to adapt to sales situations, to read prospects, to manage time and to interpret sales information are all key performance indicators.
Sales Style – Possessing the right style is essential. The assessment will zero in on an individual’s style, such as whether the candidate is more likely to succeed in product or solution sales. It will also determine if a candidate is better suited in a hunter or farmer role.
Sales Motivational Drivers – This element focuses on what drives an individual to want to be successful.
“We are excited to launch the Sales Professionals Consortium and, ultimately, to provide the industry with a sales assessment solution that enables organizations to make the right sales force decisions,” said Klinvex. “Our new product will predict sales force hiring success, which ultimately leads to increased sales, more revenue, and a decrease in employee turnover.”
Organizations interested in participating in the study are asked to contact Select International immediately. Participants are required to provide a minimum of 50 salespeople along with their actual sales performance data. Select International will conduct one-on-one interviews with key stakeholders within the organization to gain individualized feedback at all levels.
Each organization will receive detailed reports, a summary of the validation findings and an incentive should they choose to continue utilizing the assessment. For more information, contact T.J. Muehlfeld at 800.786.8595, ext. 1031 or tjmuehlfeld[at]selectintl.com.
