ST. PETERSBURG, Fla., February 20, 2006 - Sage Software today announced the appointment of Karl Grass as vice president and general manager for its Sage Abra HRMS and Sage Payroll Services solutions. Grass will report to Ray Jimison, the company´s senior vice president and general manager of Specialized Business Solutions, and will be responsible for driving both Sage Abra and Sage Payroll Services´ initiatives throughout North America.
Previously, Grass was vice president and general manager of Intuit Professional Tax Group in Dallas, and prior to that position, he was a partner at Arthur Andersen, serving in a general manager role for Andersen Technology Enterprises, the company´s packaged software business, in Sarasota, Fla. In 2004, he was named one of the Top 100 Most Influential People in Accounting by Accounting Today magazine.

Reporting to Grass, Rick Valentine will continue as vice president and general manager of Sage Payroll Services and Sage Compliance Services, with responsibility for management of the company´s payroll and tax compliance businesses.
Grass holds a bachelor of science in accounting from Duke University in Durham, N.C. He will work out of Sage Software´s St. Petersburg, Fla., office, where .the Sage Abra and Sage Payroll Services teams are located.
