Quality of Former Military Candidates at Orion International Conferences ´Unsurpassed´

Three Strategically Located Conferences to Connect Employers, Candidates in Chicago, DC, Orlando Areas

September 12, 2006 -- Orion International, the nation´s largest military placement and consulting and services firm, will connect former military officers, leaders and enlisted technicians with the country´s top employers via strategically located hiring conferences.

Three Orion International Hiring Conferences, slated for Sept. 17-19th in Chicago and Washington, DC and Sept 18-19th in Orlando, will place 40-50 of the most highly qualified former military officers and enlisted technicians at the interview tables of 20-30 military-friendly companies per event.

The conferences next week in the East Coast, Southeast and Midwest Regions come in light of dramatic successes at events in these areas for both candidates and clients alike.

"We have evolved from using many junior military officer recruiters to using just Orion," said Tony Colucci, General Electric´s Consumer and Industrial Products HR manager and military recruiting coordinator, adding, "The quality of candidates from Orion International has been unsurpassed.  Orion´s great service and great candidates are an unbeatable combination."

"We are here for two main reasons, said Orion International President Mike Starich.  "First, we want to be the top provider of leadership candidates and high-character technicians to America's companies.  Secondly, we strive to provide our honorable service members with what is in short supply when they exit the service - we listen, consult and treat them with the honesty and dignity they deserve.  In short, we get them the civilian jobs they want to have."

Providing those jobs will be Fortune 500 companies from countless industries, all looking to hire former military at the conferences.  Companies from manufacturing, engineering, financial services, logistics, semiconductor, building controls, manufacturing, aerospace and power generation fields will provide civilian jobs to military officers and enlisted technicians at the target-rich recruiting events.

"Orion has seen over a 50 percent increase in company hiring over last year," stated Orion Vice President of Sales Tim Isacco.  "We see companies complementing their leadership development programs by hiring exiting military personnel as future leaders for their organization.  We´ve noticed a greater demand and increased participation in our hiring events because of the skill sets that military officers and enlisted technicians bring to companies´ workforces."

Clients agree: "We have been impressed with the time and effort that Orion has taken to learn about our company.  Gaining in depth knowledge and a better understanding about Ferguson as an organization has allowed Orion to effectively fill our needs with competent, experienced candidates," said Denise Francum, Director of Recruiting for Ferguson Enterprises.  To date, the company has gained over 200 new hires from its relationship with Orion.

All conferences throughout September will allow companies the opportunity to interview and recruit some of the most highly sought after military officers and enlisted technicians, with virtually all having varying levels of leadership experience and managerial capacities.

"I love my job," Orion International CEO Bill Laughlin commented recently.  "Rarely in life do you have the opportunity to make a positive and significant difference to others.  At Orion International, we reach out daily to provide counseling and employment for some of the finest people in America at the crossroads of their career, our military veterans. Our organization was founded, built and driven by military veterans to help other veterans succeed in business.  We are proud to serve those who have served us while providing corporate America with top talent to lead their organizations."
