Personnel Decisions International names david selchen general manager of its houston operating office

Personnel Decisions International (PDI) announces the promotion of David Selchen to general manager of its Houston operating office.

MINNEAPOLIS (June 2, 2006) - Personnel Decisions International (PDI) announces the promotion of David Selchen to general manager of its Houston operating office.

Since joining PDI in 2004 as a consultant, Selchen has significantly contributed to the success of the Houston office. He received the Chairman´s Award for Triple Crown Goal Achievement in his first year.

"We are pleased to recognize David with this well-deserved promotion," said Tommy Daniel, senior vice president and director of PDI´s West region. "In partnership with several of his colleagues, David has been co-leading the Houston office since fall of 2005. We look forward to the continued growth and development of the market under his leadership and vision."


As a consultant for the Houston office, Selchen has focused on the application of psychology to enhance individual and organizational performance. Additionally, he is an expert in individual assessment for selection and development, the use of multi-rater feedback processes, group training and facilitation, and coaching for managers and executives.

Prior to joining PDI, Selchen ran his own business psychology consultancy and taught psychology classes at the University of Oxford in Oxford, England. He has also held a research position with The National Research Council of Canada.

Selchen received a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Winnipeg in Winnipeg, Manitoba, where he received academic distinction for graduating first in his class in both psychology and biology. Additionally, he received his doctorate in psychology from the University of Oxford, where he studied as a Rhodes Scholar.
