FRAMINGHAM, MA--February 5, 2008--PeopleCube, provider of intelligent workplace and resource management technology, today announced the hiring of Abraham (Abe) Zelkin as the new Vice President of Business Development. The addition of Zelkin to the PeopleCube executive team supports PeopleCube's overall growth strategy by expanding the company's worldwide market penetration through strategic alliances and distribution channels. His initial focus is to grow existing partnerships, and develop new OEM and reseller relationships in North America, Europe, and the Pacific Rim.
Zelkin brings to PeopleCube more than 25 years of successful managerial experience in the technology industry. Prior to joining PeopleCube, he served as Chief Technology Officer and Vice President of Business Development for Homework911.com, an interactive, on-line tutoring and learning system. Zelkin also founded Optel Communications, a developer of PC-based imaging and telecommunications software for distance learning, telemedicine and quality assurance applications. While there, he developed critical distribution partnerships with such industry giants as AT&T and Olivetti. Zelkin currently serves as an advisor to the Interactive Multimedia Collaborative Communications Alliance (IMCCA) trade association representing the unified collaborative conferencing industry. He is also a frequent speaker at seminars and trade shows for the conferencing industry where his background in product development and business management has qualified him as an expert in the field.
"We are very excited about the addition of Abe to our executive team," said PeopleCube President and CEO John T. Anderson. "Developing strategic domestic and international partnerships is critical to the growth of our organization, and we are confident that Abe's in-depth experience and proven track record building and nurturing valuable business relationships will lead to new partnering opportunities."
Zelkin will be primarily responsible for advancing existing partnerships with Jones Lang LaSalle, CaterTrax, Notify Corporation, Polyvision, and others while forging new opportunities with other organizations whose market growth strategy aligns with PeopleCube's. In addition, he will work closely with Luc Warnotte, PeopleCube's new vice president of EMEA sales, to uncover other OEM and reseller opportunities in Europe, the Middle East, Africa and the Far East.
