Redwood City, CA, December 20, 2006 –SupportSoft, Inc. (Nasdaq: SPRT) today announced the appointment of Richard Mandeberg as Senior Vice President of Consumer Business Development. Mr. Mandeberg will be responsible for leading SupportSoft’s consumer business development strategy and will report directly to Josh Pickus, president and CEO of SupportSoft.
Mandeberg previously served as executive vice president of business development at Mirra, Inc., a leading provider of networked digital content protection products for the consumer and small business markets. Mirra was acquired by Seagate Technology in 2005, where Mandeberg became the executive director of market development. Before leading Mirra’s business development strategy, Mandeberg led Mirra as CEO, launching the company and the first integrated content protection solution for consumers and small office markets.
