Human Resources: NuStar Energy L.P. Selects UltimateSoftware's Intersourcing(R)

    WESTON, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 22, 2007--Ultimate Software
(Nasdaq:ULTI), a leading provider of end-to-end strategic human
resources, payroll, and talent management solutions, announced today
that NuStar Energy L.P. (NYSE:NS) has selected Ultimate Software's
UltiPro, delivered through its software-as-a-service Intersourcing
model, for human resources and payroll (core HRMS), time and
attendance, and the talent management solutions for recruitment and
performance management.

    With approximately 1,300 employees and $3.5 billion in assets,
NuStar Energy L.P., formerly known as Valero L.P., is one of the
nation's largest operators of petroleum product terminals and
petroleum liquids pipelines. In 2006, Valero Energy sold all of its
interests in Valero GP Holdings, LLC, now NuStar GP Holdings, LLC,
through two public offerings. Today, NuStar GP Holdings, LLC and
NuStar Energy L.P. are completely independent of Valero Energy.

    When it was part of Valero Energy, NuStar used a large global
enterprise resource planning (ERP) solution, but with the separation
from Valero, the company decided to investigate other options better
suited to its needs. After conducting due diligence, NuStar selected
Ultimate Software in March, 2007 because of its customer service and
UltiPro's easy-to-use, end-to-end functionality.

application, but with Intersourcing, Ultimate Software undertakes all
of the IT responsibilities associated with UltiPro, including backups,
upgrades, and hardware maintenance.
