SUNNYVALE, Calif.: 12 October 2006 - Brandon Hall Research has launched the Brandon Hall Network, a new free online social network for learning professionals at www.brandonhallnetwork.com. The network will serve as an online environment in which learning and HR professionals can gather, share ideas, and exchange information.
The Brandon Hall Network enables professionals to find others with similar interests, share information, create groups, write blogs, share bookmarks, list events, post jobs and resumes, collaborate on projects, provide product reviews, and get answers to questions. The Brandon Hall Network is open to anyone in the fields of training and development and human resources, as well as academics and education.
The Brandon Hall Network places an emphasis on user-generated content. Members are encouraged to share their knowledge and post their ideas. Members can create groups based upon common interests, software used, geographical locations, industries, and so forth. Members post personal profiles and can search for fellow members with similar interests and common problems. Members can set privacy controls to be as open or private as desired.
Staffers will also host groups focused on Brandon Hall Research´s upcoming research, its well-known awards program, and the latest trends in learning and talent management technology.
CEO Brandon Hall stated, "The internet isn´t just about searching for information anymore. It´s a two-way medium for finding exactly the person you need to meet. Everyone can be a publisher and reviewer today. We want the new network to be an environment where each member benefits from the interaction of the community."
