Candid Capture launches an innovative video interviewing service helping job seekers land jobs faster. This new web based program was developed to allow recruiters to remotely interview candidates anywhere in the country. Recruiters simply send interview questions to prospective candidates, who then record their answers and upload the videos for the recruiter to review.
“It’s a win-win for everyone” explained Candid Capture CEO, Allison Madison. “Businesses are able to reduce time to hire and improve their process by evaluating candidates based on identical interview questions and candidates are able to apply for jobs they never would have been considered for because of the cost and inconvenience of traveling to interviews.”
Candid Capture also allows recruiters to create a complete candidate profile that can include other documentation in addition to interview videos, such as resumes, reference letters and work samples. This multifaceted presentation allows prospective employers to assess the whole person, not just a one-dimensional resume. And, since Candid Capture is a web based program, candidate profiles can be shared with hiring managers any time, any where so companies and candidates do not have to be delayed by scheduling conflicts.
The program is equally useful for staffing services, corporate recruiters and even small business owners. The staffing industry is among the few sectors showing job growth, and recruiters are being required to screen an increasing number of candidates and coordinate a greater number of interviews and placements. Candid Capture is a powerful tool to maximize efficiency and enables recruiters to place more applicants in jobs faster. Corporate recruiters and HR professionals are keenly aware of the cost of a slow time to hire to a company. Candid Capture helps to reduce time to hire and saves companies money.
Candidates also benefit from not having the pressure of a face to face interview. Often highly qualified, competent people make blundering misstatements out of nervousness. When using Candid Capture if a candidate stumbles, all a he or she needs to do is click stop and delete and start again. This freedom allows the candidate to feel more at ease and they are more likely to make a great first impression.
Candid Capture was developed by a staffing industry veteran, Allison Madison. Her mother established a staffing company in 1988 and Ms. Madison began recruiting for the family company in 1996. Through her experience with business owners, human resource professionals and recruiters, Ms. Madison found that long time to hires were costly for companies and frustrating for applicants, so she sought a way to improve the hiring process. Looking at the process, she saw that the preliminary interview was something that took a great deal of time and effort to schedule and arrange but yet had very little value in the process. Here she saw an opportunity to use technology to reduce the time and energy spent on preliminary interviews and still effectively zero in on just the right candidate. Thus the concept of remote video interviewing; it allows the same preliminary evaluation yet improves time to hire, saves money and gets people to work faster.
