BURLINGTON, Mass. – Are you new to the area of HR metrics and workforce analytics or simply want to learn more about how to make the best decisions for your organization?
The International Association for Human Resource Information Management (IHRIM) is sponsoring for the first time a new course, HR Metrics and Workforce Analytics Basics, to help HR professionals improve institutional decision-making by developing metrics and analytics systems, conducting basic statistical analyses and learning data reporting techniques. Topics to be covered include:
• How to conduct basic statistical analyses to report the current conditions and trends in your organization.
• Key metrics that can be used to evaluate staffing levels, and staffing and development effectiveness.
• Data reporting techniques that allow you to communicate intended messages to target audiences most effectively.
Dr. Kevin D. Carlson, associate professor of Management at Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University, will lead the discussion. Carlson – whose research interests include knowledge and its role in decision-making, the evaluation of staffing effectiveness, and the use of human resource information systems to improve organization function – also presents IHRIM’s popular HR Metrics for Business Partners – If You Have to Ask, You’re Not course.
The seminar will be held from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on June 22 at The Mirage in Las Vegas, Nev. Register online today. The registration fee for the full-day session is $595, and covers all course materials, as well as breakfast and lunch.
