NAAAHR Names FCG's Sharron Banks Executive Board

Flowers Communications Group’s Sharron Banks Appointed to NAAAHR Executive Board
Chicago (April 13, 2010) - As Flowers Communications Group continues to blossom and continues its trend of success, a key figure in the award winning multicultural integrated marketing agency adds yet another tremendous accomplishment. Sharron Banks was recently named to the Executive Board of the National Association of African Americans in Human Resources, (NAAAHR) Chicago Chapter as the Director of Communications.

Banks is the Vice President of Human Resources and Office Services at Flowers Communications Group. In her role at Flowers Communications Group she directs and motivates all of the employees and makes sure everyone is in accordance with company policy. She also oversees all office operations such as corporate purchasing, administrative supervision and information technology.

In addition to her role at Flowers Communications Group, she will keep the community and other human resource professionals abreast with the numerous activities of the NAAAHR Chicago Chapter. The NAAAHR was officially chartered in September of 1998 with 17 local organizations. Since 1998 the organization has grown to over 28 chapters and 4,300 members. The organization’s main focus is to serve as a resource for minority Human Resource professionals. NAAAHR provides numerous opportunities for aspiring and seasoned Human Resource professionals such as networking opportunities, conferences with leading Human Resource professionals, mentoring, workshops, and seminars.

Sharron has a storied past of great accomplishments and rising to the top of any endeavor she takes on. Sharron began her career at Flowers Communications Group as an administrative assistant, and grew to take on other roles such as account coordination, office administration, and office management. Banks briefly left Flowers Communications Group to pursue other opportunities, but returned in 2003 in a human resources position and worked her way up to Vice President of Human resources and Office Services. She is perfectly poised to use her determination and drive to continue to help bring great talent to Flowers Communications Group as well as take the NAAAHR to new unforeseen heights.
