MphasiS - Eldorado Computing Introduces End-to-End Seamless Integrated Claims Processing Solution

837 standard enables easy conversion from paper to electronic claims, reducing administrative costs up to 40%

Phoenix, Ariz. - May 18, 2006 - MphasiS-Eldorado Computing, Inc. (ECI), announced today that it has adopted the latest version of 837 standard (X12N 837 version 4010), eliminating the costs associated with converting paper claims to electronic data interchange (EDI). ECI´s end-to-end, seamlessly integrated claims processing solution can reduce overall paper claims data entry and adjudication processing costs by up to 40 percent.

Healthcare payers can scan HCFA-1500, UB-92, ADA 2000 and ADA 2002 claim forms, re-pricing pages, explanation of benefits (EOBs), or document images in any mail-room anywhere. ECI handles processing and labor functions including formatting and indexing of the image for an increased auto-adjudication rate. When payers send an image file, ECI in turn sends an 837 file with indexed images of the paper claims viewable within ECI´s Healthpac system from the claim screen.

This new service is available to any healthcare payer, not just ECI clients. Benefits include:

According to Zane Bell, CEO of ECI, "Most doctors can´t produce 837 files directly, so they must send electronic claims through a clearinghouse or billing agency that can produce the 837 files for them.  As a full-service vendor, we are pleased to offer the ability to provide end-to-end claims processing services."
