Neil Lasher, of Trainer1, the President of the ASTD Global Network UK, a committee member of the eLearning Network (eLN), the UK's foremost professional association for users and developers of e-learning and a world-renowned instructional design specialist, is facilitating two International two-day Masterclasses on a modern approach to instructional design.

Called 'More than Instructional Design -- learn to think in colour', the Masterclasses take place on 4th/ 5th October at the Raddison Edwardian Hotel, Heathrow, in the UK, and on 15th/16th October at the Wyndham Peachtree Conference Centre, Atlanta, Georgia.

Each Masterclass includes: the basics of instructional design; learning styles; emotional significance, and creative advantage as well as Lasher's 'Five 'A's of Learning', a model of instructional design (ID) which encapsulates the lessons of 20 years of designing e-learning and related materials to produce a model for ID specifically relating to task-based and 'rapid' or 'workflow' e-learning.

"Delegates receive tips on how to isolate the learning requirements, create the right blend to address different groups and styles, design a course map, identify opportunities for interactivity, learn to consider the correct intervention and practice using creativity," said Lasher who, in recent months, has conducted these Masterclasses in the USA, the UK, across Europe, Canada and Russia.

"We provide a process for structuring e-learning courseware to facilitate effective, performance-enhancing e-learning, taking you through the instructional design process from Z to A," he added. "This course will benefit those responsible for assessing, designing and producing e-learning and blended programmes and/or who need to know how to assess online learning materials.

"It's a fast and furious two days which leaves delegates invigorated, ready to create great e-learning," promised Lasher.
