MINNEAPOLIS (June 1, 2006) - Personnel Decisions International (PDI) announces that Mike Carey has been named vice president of global human resources.
In this position, Carey will work to develop a world-class human resources function that tests and applies capabilities and technologies, by leading the creation and execution of human resources plans that support PDI´s overall business strategies and drive business success.

Prior to joining PDI, Carey served as senior vice president of human resources for American Public Media Group in St. Paul, Minn. He provided human resources leadership to the company and its subsidiaries, led the human resources and payroll departments and was a member of the senior management team. He also held senior-level human resources positions with Allina Health System, Datacard Group and American Express Financial Advisors.
Carey obtained a bachelor´s degree in business administration and accounting from the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul and a Master of Business Administration in marketing from the Carlson School of Management, University of Minnesota, in Minneapolis. He has SPHR certification from the Human Resource Certification Institute and is a board member of the Minnesota Human Resources Planning Society.
