San Francisco, CA – July 12, 2010 -- Kevin Dunn, Trustnode co-founder, today announced that Michael Hoch has joined the firm’s management team. Michael is responsible for Product Management and Technology. Trustnode is the creator of an online, interactive benefits education and enrollment platform for those involved in the provision and sale of voluntary group insurance products.
“We are extremely fortunate and gratified to have Michael on the Trustnode management team,” stated Kevin. “The lead inventor on five patents for 3D graphics and author of several research papers, Michael is a visionary leader with a strong track record of building and managing engineering and design teams to deliver innovative products and production quality code. He brings to Trustnode a wealth of experience in consumer-oriented technology garnered from positions at companies such as Yahoo! and Sony. His genius ensures that the Trustnode platform will continue to be all it can be, with cool rich media, applications, and games,” Kevin concluded.
Prior to joining Trustnode, Michael was Director of Engineering for Yahoo!, where he served as chief architect of the strategy to drive adoption of Flash and Flex based platform solutions to mainstream status. Earlier, he was Director of User Experience at Yahoo!. During his tenure, he managed and provided strategic oversight of engagements with more than 10 Yahoo! products, including Maps, Mobile, Digital Home, and Front Page. Before that, as an independent contractor, Michael developed a mobile phone concept for the home of the future for Samsung. Earlier, he was a staff engineer at Sony U.S. Research Labs, where he led user interface development of an interactive television end-to-end system for broadcast games. Before this, Michael was lead engineer at ZKM/Center for Art and Media in Germany; a researcher/lecturer for the Academy of Media Arts in Germany, and a senior software engineer for the production of interactive media art. Michael began his career in computer graphics as a visiting researcher at Apple Computer in 1993. Michael holds a PhD in Computer Graphics from University Dortmund in Germany and a MS in Computer Science from the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg in Cologne.
