Human Resources, Quality Assurance, and Teamwork

Quality assurance managers, teambuilders and efficiency experts:

The somatic attunement program I developed evolved from embodied conflict resolution strategies recognized as effective by lawyer and psychologist mediators, and now by management consultants.

“I got more out of a two hour demonstration with Jerry that I got from the leading (and pricey) day-long program teaching Aikido principles for consumption in business.” Chance Massaro, Management Consultant, Santa Rosa
In March of 2007, a program was presented at a Northern California conference (ARDNC) of lawyer and psychologist mediators and has since been appreciated in several day long programs conducted for their affiliate organizations. Jeff Goldfien, JD, LLM, ADRNC Board Member stated:

“In this experiential and invigorating presentation we discovered that equanimity in the midst of the push and pull of conflict, and openness to the creative potential inherent in conflict have a felt basis in the body.”

It has received enthusiastic reception at the 2009 Conference of the Association for Experiential Education. The Northern California Human Resources Association (NCHRA) will offer a programs in their San Francisco offices on February 23, 2010. Click here for their program.

This cutting edge format teaches basic aikido principles for conflict resolution, pressure management and performance enhancement. It encourages people to show up with their whole selves, addressing the number one complaint today that HR people are identifying as the consequence of economic stress, i.e. just filling chairs. One participant wore a dress to her male dominated office for the first time the next day, and later told me, “I learned to show up with my whole being.”

I am  an active member of Sonoma County Management Consultants Forum. TUNING IN to the Body will improve teamwork and make your business more effecting by reducing mistakes and repeats. How can I say this? Corporate consultants have told me that common “repeat rates” (hours spent correcting sub-standard work) exceed 30%.

Was it more or less likely that mistakes and repeats happened under pressure than the first try's that worked fine? If you agree with me on the association with pressure, then the figure you came up with as your "do-again" number is a good subjective measurement of how much you may benefit by having a fun, interactive program of TUNING IN for your business, workplace connection, conference or team building.

The program makes conscious the common responses to pressure, and teaches access to the body wisdom that transforms opposition to inclusion, acceptance, and collaboration. I want to bring this to businesses who recognize that mistakes are pressure driven, and that effective teamwork is encouraged by pressure management.

Businesses that have the most to gain are those in the midst of growth or change, new start-ups, and those changing their structure under economic stress. I have a cutting edge idea and I would like to consider working with you to grow your staff’s potential to excel. This is the most useful, and definitely the most fun thing I have done professionally.
