Lifestyle Family Fitness owns and operates 36 fitness clubs with the assistance of approximately 2,000 associates. The company does not rely on long-term contracts with its customers, depending instead upon superior service and relationship-building for high customer retention. In line with the value Lifestyle places on its workforce, the fitness company wanted an HRMS with self-service functionality that would empower employees and managers, enhance internal service to its talent, and ensure high employee satisfaction. The Lifestyle Family Fitness team chose UltiPro in June 2005 and went "live" with the solution in the fall of that same year.

Compared to Lifestyle's previous HRMS, UltiPro has helped the fitness firm dramatically improve its workforce reporting, according to Busby. Since going live on UltiPro, Lifestyle's HR group can capture strategic measurements like turnover and overtime trends before they escalate into problems.
