Roseville, CA (PRWEB) March 5, 2010 -- Cybertary, Inc., a network of professional Virtual Assistants (VAs) supporting independent and small business owners, announced it sold its first franchise office in Colorado, to Dana Hall in Littleton. Cybertary now has 25 offices nationwide. Many of the Cybertary franchise owners are women who, after being laid off from their corporate jobs, assess how a career fits into their lifestyle priorities and choose to leave their traditional careers behind to become entrepreneurs. According to the Center for Women’s Business Research (CWBR), Colorado ranks among the top states for women-owned businesses.
The CWBR also reported that in 2002, there were about 138,518 women-owned companies in Colorado, accounting for 31 percent of all privately-held firms in the state. Women-owned businesses in Colorado employ more than 174,000 people and generate nearly $22.2 billion in sales. The center reported that the number of women-owned firms grew by 57 percent from 1997 to 2002 - double the growth rate of all businesses in the state.
Dana Hall spent much of her career in the corporate world of financial services with companies like Wachovia. She primarily worked in the mortgage industry where she worked in residential and wholesale mortgages for about sixteen years. Hall always dreamed of owning her own business having grown up in an entrepreneurial family.“I became comfortable in the corporate world and didn’t think too much about my own aspirations to own a business,” explained Hall. “However when I realized that the mortgage industry was headed for a crash two years ago, I started reviewing my options.”
After attending a FranNet entrepreneur workshop in Denver Dana became energized by the notion of owning a franchise business. Dana explored about 15 different franchises, including in-depth analysis of three, but Cybertary always rose to the top of her list. “Cybertary’s support system for its franchisees was very impressive. It just seemed like a great way to marry my experience with a business where I could still use those skills,” Hall said.
Cybertary is a diversely talented nationwide network of highly skilled professional Virtual Assistants (VAs), who collaborate as a team to provide “on-demand” administrative support and specialized services to businesses, entrepreneurs, solopreneurs, executives and on-the-go people. Each team member is a highly skilled administrative professional with unique strengths and industry experience that add to the collective pool of resources. This talented team allows Cybertary to consistently provide the highest level of service and meet a wide variety of client needs. Cybertary works the same way a regular administrative employee does, only more efficiently since client work is done remotely over the Internet on an as-needed basis. Clients save money because they only pay for productive time on-task without the need to make costly payroll or overhead commitments.
Hall is looking forward to supporting clients with business support services, administrative tasks and bookkeeping by leveraging her team of talented people to work on projects for Cybertary clients in the Littleton area. Her extensive knowledge of the mortgage and real estate industries would also be a tremendous support for businesses in those industries. “Cybertary is unique in that we not only help small businesses, we also provide opportunities for those looking to work from home part-time and make a worthy wage,” Hall said.
Hall has already worked with several clients in the Denver area. Matt Hanson is a mortgage planner with Hanson Planning Group. He contracted with Cybertary Littleton a few weeks ago to have their team help him with an ongoing research project. “I needed to delegate the ongoing research necessary to constantly keep my web site content fresh,” explained Hanson. “Cybertary has been an excellent partner with me on this project,” explained Hanson.
Cybertary owners consult with businesses to identify administrative challenges and tap into an established nationwide team of Cybertary virtual assistants (VAs) to help fulfill the client’s needs. Cybertary Franchisees work out of their home offices, and assign incoming client work to the Cybertary with the skills to meet the client needs from our diversely skilled nationwide network. Team members likewise work from home, and deliver completed projects via the internet.
"The Cybertary franchise network creates the support infrastructure that gives the business owner the resources they need to meet any administrative challenge, while simultaneously providing an opportunity for business professionals to leave the corporate world and build their own home-based business,” explained Cybertary Founder and CEO, Patricia Beckman. “We’re thrilled to bring Dana Hall on board and are excited to see the expansion of the Cybertary network across the U.S."

The Cybertary Trend and the Virtual Assistant Industry
According to the Small Business Administration, small firms total approximately 23 million in the United States, with roughly 75 percent of the firms having no employees. This means there are a significant number of small business owners out there trying to ‘do it all’. Cybertary and other professional Virtual Assistants are increasingly popular since they take care of the paperwork, bookkeeping, data entry and other marketing tasks so the business owners have more time to spend with their clients, or to focus on revenue-producing activities.
Cybertary’s Franchise Opportunity
In 2007, there were 27.2 million businesses in the United States, according to Office of Advocacy estimates. Census data show that there were 6.0 million firms with employees and 20.4 million without employees in 2005. Small firms with fewer than 500 employees represent 99.9 percent of the 27.2 million businesses (including both employers and non-employers), and the most recent data from 2005 show there were slightly more than 17,000 large businesses. Clearly there are plenty of small businesses in the U.S. that could use the help of a virtual assistant to help them outsource administrative tasks that keep them from their primary revenue-producing activities.
Cybertary’s affordable, turnkey franchise opportunity makes starting a flexible, home-based business a reality for business professionals who wish to earn a worthy wage outside the corporate world and be more available to their families. The VA industry has grown steadily over the past five years, as computer technology has evolved and businesses become more familiar with the advantages of outsourcing.
