CHELMSFORD, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 12, 2006--In a move which further bolsters its global presence, Kronos(R) Incorporated (Nasdaq: KRON) today announced its expansion into China. With a population of more than 1.3 billion people -- of which 400 million are employed in the industrial and service sectors of the economy -- China represents a significant market opportunity for Kronos, whose charter is to empower organizations around the world to effectively manage their workforce.

Industry veterans to execute on global strategy
Kronos has appointed industry veteran Mick Adamson to lead the company's global expansion effort. As vice president of international operations, Adamson reports directly to chief executive officer Aron Ain. Adamson gained his extensive experience in international business through nearly 20 years serving in leadership positions at technology providers including Intel Corporation, Santa Cruz Operation, and SurfControl. In these roles, Adamson built and directly led sales, service, and marketing teams in Europe, Asia, and the Americas, while residing in Singapore, the United Kingdom, and the United States.
Kronos also has appointed Henry Liu to establish and manage the company's China operation headquartered in Beijing. A native of China, Liu has more than 20 years of experience in management, sales, and marketing roles. Liu joined Kronos from Siebel Systems, where he was sales director for China. Prior to Siebel, he held positions with Broadvision and System Software Associates (SSA). He has also has acted as general manager for SAP North China. As general manager of Kronos' operation in China, Liu reports to Adamson.
