WAYNE, Pa., (August 23, 2006) - Kenexa ® (NASDAQ: KNXA), a leading provider of talent acquisition and retention solutions, today announced that it has founded the Kenexa Research Institute. Leveraging the company's recent acquisition of Gantz Wiley Research, a pioneer in the survey research industry, as well as Kenexa's own proprietary employee research, the Institute will focus on advancing the science of employee research and help drive Kenexa's product development. Jack W. Wiley, Ph.D., former President and CEO of Gantz Wiley Research, has been named as Executive Director of the Institute.
Troy Kanter, Kenexa's President of Human Capital Management, said, "We understand the business benefits that our clients can derive from the latest, freshest global research. This insight provides our clients with the key information they need for creating a working environment that is truly productive and aligned to overall business objectives. We are proud to have Jack take on such an important role in Kenexa. His experience and insight is critical to the success of the Kenexa Research Institute and will certainly be a benefit to our customers."
Gantz Wiley Research was acquired by Kenexa earlier this month, and the combined organizations created a library of normative data unparalleled in the world of employee survey research. The Institute will serve as a catalyst for the latest thought leadership and will provide the foundation for future R&D and product development.
With 30 years of experience in survey research spanning across a variety of industries, Wiley will lead the Institute's research efforts, further building intellectual capital for Kenexa as well as its clients. Wiley has gained international recognition for his development of the High Performance Model, which demonstrates the links between employee opinions, customer loyalty, and business performance, and is based on research of over 10,000 business units.
Wiley has held key research and leadership positions at Control Data (now Ceridian) and Ford Motor Company. He was appointed to Minnesota Governor Pawlenty's Workforce Development Council in 2004 and to the Human Resources Planning Society (HRPS) Board of Directors in 2006.
