San Ramon, CA (January 17, 2007) - eQuest, the global leader in job posting and Internet management services, announced today it has completed its analysis for its certified group of free job boards offered in its FreeBug delivery service gateway. eQuest tests hundreds of free job boards to determine the effectiveness of free job posting sites as well as those boards meeting or exceeding eQuest standards for certification.
The boards were measured using several technology indicators that calculate overall candidate traffic effectiveness. Results were measured during the period of October 1, 2006 through December 31, 2006 on a sample of 6,000 job postings delivered to each job board in the FreeBug network.
Indeed.com measured the highest amount of candidate responses with over 415,000. This translates to approximately 70 candidates responding to each posted job.
Next was Jobster returning over 62,000 candidates or just over ten candidates for each job posted. The Ladders followed with 3,272 candidates; GoogleBase with 2,321; America's Job Bank with 1506; and SimplyHired with 183.
eQuest established the free job board certification program in April, 2006 to continue to offer industry-leading recruitment products and services to its worldwide customer base. The program is the first job distribution company to harvest traffic trending data on free job boards and report these back to its users. Only job boards meeting eQuest's strict standards will be awarded certification and admission into the eQuest FreeBug Network.
