Organizations began shifting their recruiting efforts from print classifieds to online job boards more than ten years ago. Now another shift is taking place, from job boards to Web 2.0, but many employers are struggling with how best to use these strategies. In this session, Berg will discuss what these new technologies are and how companies can utilize them to drive talent to their career sites. He will examine top online employment sites today and the number of job-oriented searches run on major search engines monthly. Using real-life examples, he will demonstrate how companies drive new talent directly to corporate career sites and capture talent in a whole new way.
Smith will share Microsoft’s experience of leveraging Web 2.0 in implementing a talent pipeline that will meet current and future recruiting needs. He will examine how talent pipelines have changed the recruiting game for major employers and how a talent community evolves. He will also discuss how to get hiring managers, recruiters and other key stakeholders involved, how to measure success and what the long-range benefits of building a talent community can be.
