Accessibility Basics: Making Your Information Systems Available to Everyone

Currently, all federal technology must comply with the requirements of Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act, designed to make online information and services fully available to individuals with disabilities, more commonly referred to as “508 compliance.” Recent court cases involving the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) have highlighted the need for more accessible technology in the private sector. Web sites and systems used for on-boarding/talent management will benefit from adhering to accessibility guidelines.
Participants in this session will explore several different assistive technologies while learning more about the benefits of providing accessible technology solutions to their employees and customers.
