Measuring and demonstrating the value of Talent/HR initiatives should be considered standard practice; however, this is not often the case. As more leadership teams are evaluating the cost of these practices, HR needs to examine not only the efficiency, but the effectiveness of their recruiting processes. Common practices focus on time-to-fill and cost-per-hire and less on the effectiveness of recruiting and selection processes. Dr. Herman will provide a definition of the quality of hire, as well as a suggested methodology for evaluating it. In addition, a model for leveraging the most strategic insight which will be found when examining employee, customer, and business performance data together will be presented.
